Description

Artificial immune systems are algorithms either inspired by or actually mimicking aspects of the immune system of vertebrates. On one hand, they can be useful tools to facilitate the understanding of the natural immune system. On the other hand they serve as heuristic algorithms that can be applied in different areas, most prominently in classification and optimisation. Artificial immune systems are an established area of research with the International Conference on Artificial Immune Systems (ICARIS) as its own conference series, the latest instalment taking place back-to-back with PPSN. This workshop provides a forum for open discussions about artificial immune system and an ideal opportunity for participants of ICARIS 2012 to exchange and discuss more deeply.

To help organisation we ask to submit proposals for short presentations (10-15 minutes) of the following three types:

Emphasis will be on discussion of the talks at the workshop. Thus, there will be a limited number of presentations and ample time for discussions.

You will be notified by the notification deadline via e-mail. All participants of the workshop (including presenters) need to register for participation at PPSN 2012.
